Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pickup from Siliguri – Phuentsholing to Thimphu

  • Early pickup from Siliguri.

  • Complete immigration at Phuentsholing.

  • Transfer to Thimphu.

  • Evening leisure time and visit Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion).

  • Check-in and overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 2: Thimphu to Punakha – Sightseeing

  • Breakfast at hotel.

  • Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3100m) for panoramic Himalayan views.

  • Visit:

    • Punakha Dzong – Palace of Great Happiness.

    • Suspension Bridge – Longest in Bhutan over Mo Chhu River.

  • Return to Thimphu for overnight stay.

Day 3: Thimphu Sightseeing – Transfer to Paro

  • Visit:

    • National Memorial Chorten – Built in memory of the 3rd King.

    • Buddha Point – 51.5m tall statue with panoramic view.

    • Takin Zoo – Bhutan’s national animal.

    • National Library – Rare Buddhist manuscripts.

    • Zorig Chusum – Traditional art school.

    • Royal Textile Museum

    • Craft Bazaar – Indigenous crafts market.

  • Evening transfer to Paro.

  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 4: Paro – Hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery)

  • After breakfast, hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest).

  • Trekking distance ~1200m uphill (3 hrs). Horse ride optional.

  • Sacred site perched on a cliff, founded in 1694.

  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 5: Paro Sightseeing – Return to Siliguri

  • Visit:

    • National Museum of Bhutan – Culture & history exhibits.

    • Rinpung Dzong – Fort with beautiful architecture.

    • Nya Mey Zam Bridge – “Bridge with no fish”.

  • Post-lunch, transfer to Siliguri.

  • Tour Ends with sweet Bhutan memories.
